Are you ready for more Asian Zombies!!!
Up until Wild Zero came along, I considered this movie the best Japanese ZOMBIE movie ever!

I mean this flick is way super-cool. It combines elements of Tarentino flicks like 'Resivior Dogs' or 'Dusk til Dawn' (or even the Italian crime flicks of the '70s like Bava's RABID DOGS which inspired Tarentino) with elements of superior Zombie flicks like 'Dawn of the Dead'. And it works too! I'd dare any of my friend's to give this the pepsi challenge with any Hollywood action flick (except most of my friends can't read subtitles)... The gore and Zombies are right up there with 'Day of the Dead' and the characters and story are great, including awesome action and gunplay and just the right amount of humor. Watching the zombies in it, I can not help but be reminded of the classic Italian wave of Zombie films of the 80's, particularly the one's Lucio Fulci brought us, like Zombi 2.

The story concerns a group of small time criminals who pull the big heist at a jewelry store. The plan goes off successfully despite a few hitchs which gets one of them injured. They call the crime-boss to fence the stolen goods. He agrees to meet them at an old factory complex for the exchange. Unknown to both, this factory was used by the military for bio-research and, of course, has a Zombie problem, which their presence quickly escalates. Highlights include an ass-kicking female superzombie, and I have to tell you, she doesn't go down easy.

Sure plot-wise there is not a whole lot orirginal here, but in this movie it's the mix of elements that make it something wholely new. I'm sure this movie was the avante guard of the wave of Asian Zombie movies that followed shortly after it's release.

If you like the classic Italian Zombie movies and don't mind a little Asian action tossed in, the definately find yourself a copy of this and check it out! Don't believe me, toss an eye at the trailer:
